LECIN (Lets Educate Children In Need) was founded by Nupur, Ankush, and Rohit in 2015 during their graduation from the University of Delhi. Their mission was simple: to educate children in need. Based on their personal volunteering experiences, they witnessed how children from low literacy backgrounds struggled due to a lack of learning opportunities and exposure.

In its early days, LECIN was driven by the passion and dedication of over 250 young, dynamic volunteers from various colleges across Delhi-NCR. These volunteers taught children from marginalized communities in slums and government schools, making a significant impact on their education. In 2019, LECIN took a pivotal step by starting a free preschool and shifting its focus to Early Childhood Education. This was also the year when we established our full-time team to achieve our goals. By 2022, in the post-pandemic era, we expanded our reach through a partnership with the state government, launching a pilot program in Anganwadi centers of district Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

Today, LECIN is dedicated to Early Childhood Development, encompassing early childhood education, climate and environmental awareness, and health and nutrition. Our comprehensive approach prepares children not just for school, but for life, ensuring they have the foundation they need to thrive.
